Durch die Nutzung des iPads soll das iPB-10 die einfache Bedienung eines Pedalboards mit der Flexibilität eines Multieffekts kombinieren. Laut Digitech können auf dem iPad bis zu zehn verschiedene Bodentreter einfach per Drag&Drop in beliebiger Reihenfolge zusammengestellt werden.
Zu jedem Setup sollen ein Amp und eine Box ausgewählt werden können. Insgesamt 87 verschiedene Pedalen, 54 Amps und 26 Boxen stehen dem Nutzer zur Verfügung. Mit einem Fingerstrich über den Touchscreen des iPads sollen neue Effekte hinzugefügt oder entfernt sowie an- beziehungsweise ausgeschaltet werden können. 100 verschiedene Pedalboards lassen sich laut Hersteller zusammenstellen und mit einem Schaltvorgang abrufen, sodass man auch während eines Songs das Pedalboard wechseln kann.
Wenn das Setup mittels iPad konfiguriert wurde, kann Apples Liebling aus seinem Slot genommen und alle Presets mit den 14 Fußschaltern angewählt werden, da das Effekt-Processing mit zwei Audio-DNA2-DSP-Prozessoren im iPB-10 stattfindet, so Digitech.
